🏥 Respite Care at Paradisi Manor

Caring for an aging parent or spouse is rewarding, and exhausting. Our respite care program gives family caregivers the chance to travel, recover from a medical procedure, or simply rest, knowing their loved one is safe, engaged, and well cared for.

Respite guests get full access to the same amenities, meals, and activities as our long-term residents, for stays ranging from a few days to a few weeks. It's also a low-pressure way for families to see firsthand what long-term care at Paradisi Manor would look like.

  • Flexible stay options, from a few days to several weeks
  • Full amenity access
  • Professional supervision and medication management
  • Social activities and companionship
  • Transitional care planning for future long-term stays

When Families Use Respite Care

Respite stays cover a wide range of situations. Some of the most common reasons families reach out to us:

  • A caregiver needs to travel, or has a medical procedure of their own coming up
  • A loved one is recovering from a hospital stay or surgery and needs support before returning home
  • A family simply needs a break to avoid caregiver burnout — which is real, and common
  • A trial run before committing to long-term assisted living or memory care

How a Respite Stay Works

Getting started is straightforward: call us to talk through your loved one's care needs and the dates you have in mind, we'll confirm availability and go over what to bring, and your loved one joins our residents for the full experience — meals, activities, and personal care — for the length of the stay. There's no long-term commitment required.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long can a respite stay last?

Respite stays are flexible, typically ranging from a few days to several weeks, depending on your family's needs. Call us to talk through your specific timeline.

How much notice do you need to book a respite stay?

It depends on our current availability, since we only have 10 suites total. We recommend calling as early as you can, but we understand respite needs can come up quickly and we'll do our best to accommodate short notice.

What's included during a respite stay?

Respite guests get the same experience as our long-term residents: private suite, home-cooked meals, medication management, personal care assistance, and access to all daily activities.

Can a respite stay turn into long-term care later?

Yes, many families use a respite stay as a low-pressure way to see how their loved one settles in before deciding on long-term assisted living or memory care with us.

Is respite care covered by insurance?

Coverage varies by insurance plan and individual circumstances. We recommend checking with your insurance provider directly, and we're happy to provide any documentation you need for that conversation.
